The Balnaves family have been associated with the district since 1855 with the first wines under the Balnaves of Coonawarra label being produced in 1990. We remain fully committed to a high level of 'hands-on' involvement and look forward to sharing our passion with you. Our unique Wine Room overlooks a tranquil pond full of bird life, surrounded by vineyards and over 900 beautiful rose bushes. Our Wine Room experience has much to offer. Taste the range of our award-winning wines with our friendly, knowledgeable staff. Look out over the pond while the birds swim and the cows graze among the vineyards. During winter, sit by the open fire while sipping your favourite glass of Balnaves wine. Enjoy a Picnic Box with selected cheeses and gourmet seasonal produce, also available to take-away. In Summer, laze on the lawn on our outdoor lounges, relax on the deck overlooking the pond or borrow a picnic rug and sit among our roses.
